1980's

Some of the most beautiful Sindy dolls were produced during the 1980's. Never before had there been so many hairstyles within one decade, from short to long, straight to masses of curls, plaits and bunches

In 1983 packaging was updated, gone was the familiar bright pink boxes and along came boxes with stripes. Pink and white for dolls, blue and white for fashions, green and white for the great outdoor scenesetters and so on.

Scenesetters were in abundance, with many new items hitting the toyshop shelves. The golden yellow kitchen and bathroom received long overdue make-overs, and Sindy gets a new car

1986 was described by Pedigree as 'The changing face of Sindy', Sindy was never to be the doll with the girl from next door looks again, and this is where my collection ends........for now anyhow!
