1963 Boxed: Boxed WeekendsThe first Sindy was produced on 6th September 1963 by Pedigree. She was sold in a close lidded box, with a Sindy stand and Sindy's Bazaar leaflet. Sindy was sold in the weekenders outfit until 1968, although the doll did vary over the years the outfit remained the same.

Original Sindy 1st issue: wearing weekendersOriginal Sindy (1st issue) was sold wearing 'Weekenders' a stripey red, blue and white jersey, with a pair of denim jeans detailed with yellow stitching and a pair of white lace up sneakers. This 1963 issue had Made in England stamped to back of neck and hollow legs.

Original Sindy 2nd issue: wearing weekendersBy the 2nd issue the doll was produced with wire inside the arms and legs, giving the owner more flexibility in posing, she was still stamped Made in England to back of neck.

Original Sindy 3rd issue: wearing weekendersThe 3rd issue, otherwise known to collectors as a miniature, was a lot smaller in height and was given a very pretty face, the head often wobbles. The doll was now Made in Hong Kong which was stamped to the lower back.

By the 4th issue the doll had reduced in size further, very few outfits will fit well, this doll was also stamped Made in Hong Kong.
